RIP White Shadow: Ken Howard dies at 71.

    Loved the show as well. I would have guessed he was older than 71 from his recent TV appearances, though.

    I remember my brothers and I called each other "Jive Turkey" after a White Shadow episode that featured an on-court brawl where one of the characters used that term.

    He put on a lot of weight in those "Murder She Said" years. My wife Alice went to drama school with Howard's brother. She said the brother died in his 30s of some genetic-linked ailment, which she speculated might have caused Ken Howard's death, cause of which was notably omitted from all obits.

    My bad. Thinking of the adaptation of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple detective played by Margaret Rutherford. Worth a look see if you haven't.
