    ...the carmaker, at least. Bankruptcy filing today (personally delivered by the CEO, no less) means the end of the road (ugh!) for a niche car beloved by a small, but fierce, group of fans in the '80s.

    My one experience with a Saab was when my division officer was drunk and needed me to drive him home. I'm looking all over the car, a 900, for the ignition until I finally spot it...on the floor. Swedes...gotta love 'em. When GM took them over, that was it.

    As a kid, I thought the 9000 Turbos of the late 1980s were cool vehicles. They still look pretty nice today, to my eye.
