    Ron Carey was part of what could be called the greatest ensemble cast in the history of television comedy.

    Watching those old Barney Miller shows are bittersweet, because in the opening credits they would show the NY skyline, and you could tell how old the episodes were by whether the WTC was there or not.

    And that is the Best. Bassline. Ever.

    I remember reading once that in a poll of police officers, Barney Miller was voted the most realistic cop show in TV history. By a landslide.
