This is shocking. One of the Rockies players was so stunned he couldn't wrap his arms around, since McGregor was in stellar health.

Very well-revered out here. Great guy, friendly, approachable. Shocking loss.

sudden death in Utah...Rockies President found dead

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/04/20/obit.keli.mcgregor/index.html?hpt=T2

Even athletic middle aged (is 49 still middle age) men are at risk for sudden death. From a medical standpoint, it will be interesting to know if this occurred because of a neurologic catastrophy like a burst cerebral aneurysm or because of some cardiac event like hear tattack. From a preventive medicine standpoint, it would be nice to know if he had any preventive medical check ups through the years.

Just tragic. I feel for his family and friends, of which there were many.

When I came downstairs this morning, my father asked me about him.

I don't know if I've mentioned this in the past, but he hates sports and doesn't follow them. As soon as he started mentioning where the story came from, it jogged my memory.

    RIP Keli McGregor. Stunning loss.

I'm beginning to think the Nats have a curse since the Phillies were getting ready to play the Nats when Harry Kalas died.
