Did anyone watch the video clip on the link? Good stuff.

As a Michigan fan, Traylor was a beast but part of a team that constantly underachieved. Never knew this, but he was part of a trade that brought Derrick Coleman to the 76ers.

Sad stuff though. Seemed like he was playing pretty well in PR.

Yep. The Taylor-Nowitzki trade fits in nicely with the general stupidity of the Bucks franchise from the 90s onward.

Drafted ahead of Paul Pierce, too. RIP.

The deal was prearranged. The Bucks knew they never had a chance to sign Nowitzki. He was recruited by Nelson for Dallas and had stated long before the draft that he would not come to the U.S. to play in Milwaukee.

He was also real good friends with some of the Flintstones, especially Mateen Cleaves, but both went to rival schools.

And Dallas turned around and traded Garrity for Steve Nash. Pretty good draft day for the Mavs.

It was a long time ago, but I seem to remember reading someone write the next day about how Dallas had blown it by trading for this guy who was on no one else's radar...

Which is why you shouldn't grade drafts until a few years later ...

    Maybe tim had a point.

I imagine Ed Martin setting him up with a nice ride up there, where accidents can't happen.
