RIP. Always enjoyed Robert Culp. He had that uptight thing going that was always funny.

I always confused him with Robert Conrad and Robert Vaughn.

Bob & Carol are gone, but Ted & Alice are still with us.

Really enjoyed him in "The Greatest American Hero". Can still see him sitting on the hood of a car firing his pistol. Just always thought he seemed to be a cool guy. Man, that's an old term.

I loved I Spy. As the NYT article pointed out, this was the first racially integrated program on US TV. Great chemistry between him and Cosby.

I wager you were thinking of Richard Mulligan. He died in 2000.

Same here with me on watching Greatest American Hero and then finding out about I Spy on CBN (now ABC Family). Fell in love with I Spy because of Cosby and Culp's pairing. Damn, they were perfect as Alexander Scott and Kelly Robinson.

FWIW, this is one of my favorite scenes from Soap featuring Mulligan as Burt Campbell:

Nope. I was thinking of Robert Mandan, aka Chester Tate, top left.

Soap was pretty hilarious. Too bad its not on much anymore.

If political correctness would make an exception to the rules, "Soap", "History of the World", and "Blazing Saddles" would be the three that I want back.
