Feel free to add. In no way was this implied to be an exclusive list.

Movie minutiae: His name was Brett, not Brad.

Being a kid who loved baseball, not to mention a night owl, I watched all 19 innings... and loved it.

    RIP, Mr. Camp

I hate to admit it but I covered that game and it was one if the funniest nights we ever had as the game went on and on and on and on. Nobody made a paper that night, and Gerry Fraley threw his computer on the floor after another failed rally. The funniest sight was Dany Heep, playing left field for the Mets when Camp hit the ball out, put his hands on his head in disbelief.
    RIP Camp

I was working at a smalltown weekly then, helping out on Independence Day coverage. Finally got home around 10 p.m. PDT and saw the game was ... still on. Finally zonked out around midnight.

IIRC, there's another account of covering that game in one of the baseball threads from last season.

That game went on so long that half the Mets had probably sobered up by the time it was over.

I shudder to think how many heaters Keith Hernandez smoked in 19 innings.

What about the Boggs 3000th hit HR, or the first HR Tampa history?
