That GOP answer is way too long for the attention span for a nation of idiots. Which is why Dems need to boil this down to the simple slogans.

Dems should then say, "Prove that we're stealing it. Put up or shut up."

    Not that this would happen...

But if Trump nominated Merrick Garland or someone of his ilk, would that change things?

Maybe if the "someone of his ilk" was Barack Obama.

When Trump filled the open seat with Gorsuch, I said he should have put in Garland and it would have helped him on several levels. Turned out Gorsuch was more like Garland that we thought.

If the Ginsburg seat is not filled, this will be Biden's pick and it will make every conservative's head asplode and I will be thrilled.

If Catholics on the bench were as dogmatic about other things as they are about abortion - nobody would be charged interest on a loan. Even with abortion - it didn't become a part of Catholic teaching until the 1500s. And I don't even have to mention the death penalty.

When it comes to political oration, Mitch is pretty decent because he writes well and understands pace.

Schumer is terrible. He'd be much better if he'd only read and stop trying to look around the room which breaks his pacing; he rarely gets back on track cleanly.

That's what a normal savvy politician would do.

Fatfuck doesn't care what helps him on several levels, he wants to piss off as many people as possible.
