RIP Ralph Waite

He played a malicious slave trader in Roots. RIP.

 

Another one who I thought had passed years ago.

Abe Vigoda just shakes his head.

 

You must not watch NCIS or Bones. He's had recurring appearances in each of those shows the last few years.

That sucks. A fantastic TV dad and great actor.

 

He also ran for Congress as a Democrat in the Palm Springs area (I think it was around 1990 or 1988), and lost a very close race.

 

Also part of the great supporting cast in "Cool Hand Luke."

 

Also lost a special election to fill Sonny Bonons term to Sonny's widow.

 

Had that great role in "The Client," too.

 

Back-sassed the road boss. Spent a night in the box.
