    Damn, that’s awful. Didn’t know him but he lived in my neighborhood. Our kids went to the same high school. Seemed like a very good guy.

    Wow what a shocker. Guy always seemed classy and his love of the game and craft really came through. RIP

    Moreover, Pedro Gomez came across as knowing how to be a journalist and not pull punches while somehow showing compassion where possible.

    Not an easy skill to master. Yet he did so effortlessly when possible.

    Pedro made sure that I was able to join the BBWAA when he was the Dbacks writer for the Republic. He was the opposite of a big timer. I became a better reporter because of him. Kind of shook right now.
