    RIP. He certainly lived though an interesting "Experience," although I think this graf in the AP story is off just a bit ..

    "Hendrix, Redding and Mitchell held their first rehearsal in October 1996, according to the Hall of Fame's Web site."

    Jeez Hondo, go listen to the New Christy Minstrels somewhere else.

    Next to Moon, Mitchell was one of the most innovative drummers of his time.

    RIP.
