    There are two statues outside the stadium in Charlotte: Mike McCormack and Sam Mills.

    That's a pretty strong gauge as to how the franchise felt about him.

    RIP, good sir, and thank you.

    Without McCormack, there probably wouldn't be a Panthers franchise.

    I had completely forgotten his association with Carolina. My memories are of his coaching stints in Seattle and Philly. RIP
