    Listen to old-time radio late at night and you'll hear some great old commercials touting the health benefits of smoking.

    Done by actors who later died of cancer.

    Sitting at an outdoor cafe in the morning, drinking a cup of good black coffee, reading The New York Times and smoking a Marlboro. The breakfast of champions

    I dont smoke, but seeing the colorful array of cigarette packs at the drug store does tempt me, particularly the orange Pall Mall lights. So I would say restricting packaging is no small issue

    And my favorite line about cigarettes is this, by British radio legend Clement Freud:

    "If you give up smoking, drinking and [sex], you don't actually live longer. It just seems longer."
