The lead singer of Survivor suffered a heart attack and passed away.

    He was 63.

Eye of the Tiger is till this day one of my favorite songs of all-time.

I haven't been this torn up since Phil Bengtson died. His Green Bay Packers champions were so legendary.

"High On You" was a great song for Jamison.

Of course a few people on this board know that Dave Bickler was the lead singer for Survivor when they hit it big with "Eye of the Tiger."

However, I did like Jamison a lot when he was with Survivor; he was a great fit for the group. And don't forget he was the voice of the "Baywatch" theme.

    Sad to hear. RIP.

He also sang on the Budweiser "Real American Heroes" radio ads that aired in the early 2000s. Those were genius spots.

And then after 9/11, when you weren't allowed to use the word "hero" for anyone other than military or public safety, they changed it to "Real Men of Genius."

And let's not forget "Burning Heart" from Rocky IV, which was basically "Eye of the Tiger" with Cold War-tinged lyrics:

He always felt overshadowed by his sister Jenna

What did Jenna Jamison ever do? Never heard of her.

Again, we're getting our singers mixed up. It was actually Bickler, Survivor's original vocalist, who did those ads.

Also, looking on Wikipedia, it seems there was a lot of bouncing around in later years with the band's vocalist spot. Survivor broke up, then Jamison started performing with his own version of Survivor (which the rest of the band didn't like), then they reunited, and Jamison left. Then, they reformed with Bickler, and after that actually toured with both Bickler and Jamison. Then Bickler departed, and Jamison left and came back once or twice more.

Jamison was great in "The Client," too.
