Another great character actor gone. Always fun to watch.

George Kennedy, a bear of a man who won an Oscar for his performance as the sadistic chain gang prisoner Dragline in Cool Hand Luke and delighted audiences as a dimwitted police captain in the zany Naked Gun comedies, has died. He was 91.

Loved the Naked Gun scenes when he would be congratulated on his wife getting pregnant and he would respond by saying, "If I ever get my hands on that ..."

    RIP

I have the movie "Airport 1970" in my stack of VHS tapes to watch so please refrain from any discussion of this movie.

    I thank you.

What a load of crap it was that Clint's drinking Olympic beer in the movie.

Christ, I went and bought some of that shit when it came to flyover land. 'Clint drinks it!'

And the daughter's name was George.

    Great movie, though.

Did he go the same way as his father -- by falling off a balcony at Dodger Stadium and subsequently being crushed by a bus, steamroller, elephant and the entire USC marching band?
