RIP Fred White

    Kansas City Royals fans lost a treasured voice.

    Longtime Royals broadcaster Fred White passed away yesterday, the day after announcing his retirement.

    Denny Matthews and Fred White were a big, big part of my childhood. RIP.

    The Royals' announcers went silent for the top of the first yesterday in tribute. Very cool.
