    I have fond memories of watching "Green Acres" with my dad when I worked in his store as a teen.

    We planned our lunch around watching the reruns.

    Alice's butcher boyfriend was Sam Franklin, played by Allan Melvin.

    My favorite character on Green Acres was county agricultural agent Hank Kimball, played by Alvy Moore. Well, maybe not favorite, but I liked him a lot. That is, tolerated him some. No, I guess I really didn't care for him at all, or the show for that matter. ;D

    It's hard to believe that Mr. Kimball was a screenwriter (uncredited) for the freaky 70s movie "A Boy and His Dog."
