Ike finally gets his wish -- 58 year later.

The famed tree was on the 17th hole at Augusta National. President Eisenhower demanded it be taken down in 1956 because he kept hitting into it. Clifford Roberts said no.

The tree, about a century old, succumbed to last week's ice storm.

Are we sure it wasn't poisoned by a deranged Oakmont member?

I expect Jim Nantz to host a one-hour special on the Tree in the lead-up to the final round of the tuuuuuurnament this year.

In a blessed world Augusta National would die of natural causes.

Did Hootie ever take a wizz on this tree?
Did the tree want women at Augusta?
