I agree. I always wondered what Burt saw in him. Seemed mismatched.

It actually was a pretty good film, especially the end....of The End. :D

    Thanks, Killick.

BTW, "The End" was really funny, and very dark. Totally different from anything Burt Reynolds did in his career, and he directed the damn thing. It was notable, too, for Robby Benson expertly playing off his (then) hot-young-thing image as a nervous Catholic priest. Zac Efron would take that role in the remake.

For those of us with tween kids, his son David plays the dad in the Disney TV series "Wizards of Waverly Place."

RIP, Dom. You gave us some wonderful moments.

If these things happen in threes, cast members of "History of the World, Part I" must be a bit nervous for the last shoe to drop.

Incredibly funny man . . . RIP, Dom.

One of his first (perhaps the first) movie roles was a dramatic one--played an Air Force sergeant in Fail Safe who tells them how to launch missiles.

Spnited might be the only other person here who knows that his wife (widow) was the schoolmarm in Blazing Saddles . . . "you are the leading asshole in the state!)

I loved The End, especially the end of it.
My adolescent crush on Kristy McNichol deepened after that movie, too.
