    World's a worse place today.

    I'll add my favorite song...

Saw that story too, and it cracked me up. (Side note -- the "elderly Jamaican trombone player" would be Saxa, the Beat's sax player, and he was actually about 50 years old then. He just looked like he was in his 80s.)

It's so hard to pick a favorite, but this may be it. What a legend.

I've always loved Bowie use of his voice as a musical instrument. Never forced and so many colours ... just astonishing to me.

    And a true chameleon ...

Sucks for him, but nothing's going to touch me in my golden years.

Always liked his cameo in Into The Night.

Yeah, I'm gonna own liking the Vigoda post.

Anyhoo, R.I.P. to by all accounts a decent man, and perhaps the most versatile rock artist ever. Wasn't he married to Iman for 20-30 years?

Holy hell, the Bowie farewell/memorial concert could be the all-star show of all time. Got to figure there will be a hell of a competition to even get on stage.

I wonder if any other artist had a song that contained the lyric "God-given ass."

With the deaths of Bowie and Robin Williams, we've lost a decent percentage of our cultural creativity in 15 months.
