A thread he began on 10/23/14:

And here's the oldest one on file from this iteration of SJ:

    upload_2024-5-5_9-12-21.png

Mussina was 11-6 with a 3.76 ERA at the break but didn't make the team. Cliff Lee started the for the AL.

RIP Casty33llano. Thanks for the interactions.

Maybe you can start a game of Sheep with the other SJ'ers in the Great Beyond.

A young Castellano appears around the 28-minute mark of this video.

    May he rest in peace

Not all the people mentioned here as "good guys" were, in fact, good guys. Lionizing the dead ain't my jam.

RIP, casty. This place really was bloodsport in the day, but I never remember casty diving into the mud. Guys like him, Frank_Ridgeway and spnited are missed. A lot.

Wow. That's a lineup of some really good reporters, and the brief clip you pointed us to I saw had plenty of cliches, but he was borderline prophetic. RIP.

Joe Durso died in the early 2000s, Marty Noble a few years ago (I think) and now Castellano. Of course Ralph and McCarver are also gone.

I'm pretty sure Marty visited Casty shortly before Marty died while on vacation in Florida in 2019.

Petty is gone? Damn if that’s true. Hate to hear that. We had a flame war years ago and IJAG told us to knock it off. We did and became friends.
