RIP Bud Shrake

Nice thing about print - if people don't know him now, they can go back and understand why he is so revered. Didn't realize he also wrote the screenplay to "Tom Horn" for Steve McQueen.

 

At least we know Mr. Faulkner has done more than simply survive the same fate.

I read an obit today that said he and Cartwright used to room together and that their place was the after-the-bars-closed HQ. It also said that Jack Ruby used to hang out there.
I didn't have any notion that he and Ann Richards were a couple.
This was one cool cat.
