I can still find that story on the site.

    Can't it be removed?

    Wouldn't that be best?

They should be reprimanded or suspended. Sure it's corrected now but it's too little too late.
That lede was one of the most heartless things I've read in a while. Really just disgraceful egregious error

What is your problem? It's not wrong for us to hold our colleagues to a higher standard than the one displayed in this case. Accountability is good.

I just want to know why commenting on a story I disagree with, not in a public comment on the article but in an e-mail to the paper, means I'm wearing a cape.

    Bullshit. You have been BOTH.

Your seeming crusade against imjustagirl and me for pointing out extreme marginalization of someone's sexual orientation suggests to me that you're at the very least mildly homophobic, if not an outright asshole.

I can't speak for IJAG, but all I sought was for them to correct the story, which I now see they've done. You are the one who brought up the reprimand and firing, not me.

I suggest you take the attitude you've shown here and shove it up your ass.

Yeah, we'll miss your input. It's been enlightening.

  8. Was watching the Pens-Caps game yesterday afternoon (Fucking Caps!!!) and they mentioned the death of Brian Burke.
NO mention of being gay. Just lamenting his passing and offering sympathy.

Perhaps they should have edited the story BEFORE it went up on the Web.

So according to Meatie, we're not supposed to talk about journalism on a journalism web site.

Maybe he would prefer talk about his porn collection or something.

Because some of us like to imagine you in a cape.

    You look good in capes.

  12. We held a moment of silence prior to Saturday's game. A thoughtful tribute was composed and everyone in the building was honorable in their show of respect.
