RIP Armon Gilliam

Remember that season and a half with Barkley and Gilliam as the forwards very well. The lack of a scoring center (which has dogged them since Moses Malone was traded) is what did them in. RIP Hammer.

Along with Blitz, I was a huge bandwagon fan of that UNLV squad. High-flying, wild as hell, and purely entertaining.

 

I wonder how many copy desks are going to go to war tonight over Armen vs. Armon.

Wow, it does not seem that long ago the he and Freddie Banks took UNLV to the Final Four. RIP

 

I remember him with some good years with the Nets in the mid-90s. RIP
