I knew Armon a long time ago and I am just shocked by this news. We traded Facebook messages yesterday.

So, if I'm not mistaken, the No. 2 picks in the 1985, 1986 and 1987 NBA drafts are all dead.

    That's kind of scary.

Shocked. A great player at UNLV and a serviceable NBA veteran. RIP

That's not how he spelled it.

That was a crazy time with the Sixers.

He went back to "Armon." I have a message from him from yesterday signed "Regards, Armon."

Same gym where this occurred two years ago. One of my best friends is a member there.

Sounds like it was a very unofficial change of name.

My wife changed the spelling of her name on the uniform she wears to work just so that people might actually pronounce it right if they see it.

Doesn't mean she really considers that name to be hers. Just that hearing your name constantly mispronounced can get a little frustrating.

Um, I trust Dyno knows what name Gilliam presented to her a lot better than we would. Unless you hacked her

Who's arguing otherwise? I just pointed out that the reason he decided to go by a different name was familiar to me. Nothing else inferred.
