Riff on Casty's thread: Is there anyone else who hates Frank Sinatra music?

Would love to see Vince Vaughn play Sinatra in a biopic.

 

Jon Hamm would be my pick.

 

Swingers-era Vince would have killed as a young Sinatra.

 

Sinatra was 5-8, thin and reserved. Vince Vaughn is too physically imposing and hyper. He would be better suited for Jerry Lewis.

 

You can hate Frank Sinatra, just don't hate Frank Stallone.

 

If Hamm and Vaughn have terrible singing voices, they'd be excellent picks.

 

Yeah, the height thing is hard to get around, but camera work could fix that, by and large. I think Vaughn could ramp down the hyper but that hyper would work well for the musical parts.

 

Vince Vaughn steals scenes with his height and his boisterous personality and his expressive face. None of that fits Sinatra.

 

You may be very well correct, but I hear this and envision Vaughn doing his cool cat thing.

 

Close your eyes for that and imagine Vaughn singing that -- the voices are eerily similar.
