I disagree. Depends on when you're driving. 95 isn't bad if you're going down on Saturday or something. Driving on Monday I'd probably vote against.

    I hate 301.

I'd take 1/301 during the week and the interstate on the weekend. Either way, be very aware of the exits that you can bail out on in the event of a wreck.

Whatever you do, don't take a fucking train through Danville.

Edit to correct poorly worded reference.

Forget about 1 unless you are south of Fredericksburg (exit 126 would be a good jump off and do not speed through Ashland).

95 on Memorial Day weekend is going to be flat-out brutal. As will Rt. 1 and any other road within 100 miles.

Don't be in a hurry because it'll do you no good.

    Richmond is not horrible.

The road really changes once you pass Fredericksburg.

A train ride up or down 95 is also brutal during the Memorial Day holiday.

Yeah, but from DC to Fredericksburg could take a couple hours easily. It happened to me last weekend. Just brutal. And it's EVERY day on 95. Weekends included.

I've hit traffic exactly once on 95 for non-accident issues, and it was up by Potomac Mills. if you avoid rush hours, it's really not that bad.

You know, Pastor might live in North Carolina or Florida.

Flying into Richmond is very, very easy (touch wood).

On the Thursday evening before Easter, it took me five hours to drive from Baltimore to Northern Richmond.

    No wrecks.
