MERRIMACK, N.H. — New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson is dropping out of the presidential race.

Not surprising. The question is, who gets his support? He had that rumored deal with Obama in Iowa, then defended HRC in New Hampshire.

Richardson's really smart to get out now. He could have easily dragged it on until February and probably spent a lot of money.
I appreciate him not being stubborn.

    Richardson had support?

A bit. He's also pretty respected in the party. I'm sure his endorsement won't hurt whomever gets it.

He's been out of the race for months. He's just making it official, right?

Hey, he pulled five percent in a pretty hotly contested Democratic primary yesterday.

Or, 11,000 more votes than Fred Thompson -- in a much more contested field -- who is not dropping out.

    Nice campaign, Bill.

If he drops out or he doesn't, it's not going to change the GOP campaign all that much.

    Um...no, it won't. ???

I hope that one day, the USA has a Hispanic president who's played baseball. But not Richardson.
