    But the Knicks aren't going to pick up an extra $21 million in salary next year for garbage -- they would just cut him. And if the players who would be traded for Marbury have some value, they are probably better than what is out there and available this summer. Basically, Marion, Boozer and AI are the only ones worth looking at.

    He'd take Marbury only to get rid of some contracts. Cuban got stupid a few years ago and gave max contracts to nearly half of his team, only to discover whan Nash's contract came up that he'd been, well, stupid and no more room at the inn, but sorry, too late.

    The Mavs are in salary cap hell through 2010 at least. It didn't help matters that Cuban gave away his draft picks to get Jason Kidd.
