Story about a group of women suing a website that shows x-rated pictures of women taken by their ex-boyfriends. Do they have a reasonable expectation of privacy when they let these scumbags take these pictures, or do they have no control once the photos are taken? When will women ever learn...DO NOT LET PEOPLE TAKE NAKED PICTURES OF YOU!!!

This is an incredibly scummy thing to do, but do these women have any legal rights?

Is that the "Is Anyone Up?" site, or whatever site took over for it?

I remember hearing a friend mention it a while back. Yeah, a friend.

Hard-hitting journalism--if it ran 13 years ago. The lede:

"Sexy pictures, taken for private purposes, are finding their way online."

That site is down. The jerkoff behind it is starting something similar soon. Gawker has run a series about him (name escapes me).

Rolling Stone had a story on the guy a few months back. Apparently some Christian group bought his website from him so they could shut it down.

Sounded like a Joe Francis level douchebag.

And a link to a cheerleader gallery ... oh, the irony.

Anonymous has been targeting a lot of these sites as well.

Ahhh...the Robin Hood of the Interwebs. Not sure how to take this group. I cheered them exposing the hypocrites in Steubenville, but also don't like the fact they operate outside the law. I guess there is a place for a group like this, at least until it targets an innocent person.

Vigilantes flourish when the law does not provide the protection people expect. Does anyone believe the law has kept up with technology? Until it catches up, Anonymous is filling a perceived need, at least in this one sphere of its activities.

Bingo. There are people that ruins lives on the Net that should have the key thrown away.
