Real nice column on Bud Armstrong, a sports copy editor at the Star Tribune for 43 years who's retiring. Talks about Armstrong having a heart attack during a shift in 01. Also mentions how he was a fan of the minor sports - skiing, lacrosse, etc., - and would put those in the sports briefs. Reminds me of a time I filled an early page with a 40-inch fill story on the international luge competition.

Very nice read. Thanks for linking it.

Dunno if it's been mentioned on this site, but Reusse is cutting back. Going to do AM drive on KSTP-AM.

Really? Darn, I knew he was going to start hosting the radio show, but I wasn't aware that he'll be cutting back. I enjoy reading Ruesse much more than Sid or Souhan. Probably the best sportswriter on the Strib, in my opinion.
