Reporters needed for youth soccer coverage in Virginia

Potomac Soccer Wire and its parent company, HummerSport, need reporters for coverage of two youth soccer tournaments in Virginia over three weekends this month: 9-11 March, 16-18 March and 24-25 March.

Coverage involves spending a day onsite at a tournament venue, watching matches, posting live news updates via twitter and/or other social media, conducting interviews with coaches, players, college scouts and the like, and writing up match reports and/or human-interest stories at the close of the day.

Pay rate is $100 per day, plus meal per-diem; hotel accommodations provided. We’d prefer to have you work for an entire weekend at a time, but one-day only situations may be a possibility as well.

To get an idea of the kind of coverage we’re talking about here, here’s a glimpse of our coverage of last year’s Jefferson Cup in Richmond, which we’re doing again this year as well:

This is a great opportunity to get paid to spend a few days outside, immersed in soccer, while adding to your writing portfolio at the same time. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Charlie
