Would've been nice if someone had proofread the ad. Matt Williamson, a good guy from all accounts, spells his name with one A.

Does this mean they finally hired the SE they'd been advertising for?

We did a thread on that one earlier.

This one was four pages back on the Jobs board, but did they fill it?

Matt is excellent people and one of the better folks to work for in this business. And he's a hell of a drummer.

This job isn't strictly sports, so be warned for those wanting to cover South Pike's football team. It's more of a full-time designer job.

Based on the paper's Web site, Dale Constance (formerly of the Pontotoc Progress) took over as sports editor around mid-June. As for this job, the person who previously held it was basically the lead designer. She did the front page and most of the other inside pages every day. On Mondays, she did sports (that's one of the sports editor's days off). She also had a news beat. This is definitely not a sports job.

Matt Williamson is a good guy and the Enterprise-Journal is a nice little paper. You could do a heckuva lot worse when it comes to newspapers or places to live.

I'm sure it's a fine organization, but that pine tree logo must go... :-[...also, be very prepared to lay out long stories about little league baseball...http://www.enterprise-journal.com/articles/2009/07/08/sports/01.txt
