Yeah, but Brando wasn't up for an award at the time of his death. We're less than one week from the voting deadline for the Academy Awards. Sorry if this sounds coldhearted, but a Hollywood publicist would want this confirmed story out there as quickly as possible so as to sway as many voters as possible.

That said, I hope this story is completely false.

Yeah, D_B, it probably went like this:

Doctor: "Mr. Eastwood is extremely ill with food poisoning. We need to know what he ate last."

Publicist: "We had dinner at Applebee's last night."

Doctor: "What did Mr. Eastwood have?"

Publicist: "I'm pretty sure it was fish."

Doctor: "Now this is imporant. Where was the fish from?"

Publicist: "I know this because the waiter made a big deal about it. He said it was from the Eastern Atlantic Ocean."

Doctor: "You and that chatty Applebee's waiter may have saved many lives today."

One correct call, should it end up correct, doesn't negate all the things you've posted which make you such an object of derision around here.

    re: Banning this asshat...

While D_B shouldn't be banned under the board's conduct rules, it's worth thinking about why a journalism board that some use as a means of gleaning news would allow a member to wantonly post unconfirmed untruths.

I'm sure he can find time to post another beheading.

    What he said.

Keeping him is worth it just to see threads titled something like "Robin Leach: NBA Memphis Grizzlies Moving to Las Vegas".
