There was an altercation between Huggins and a player. Huggs was bitching out Lance Harris about his poor defense, and overall piss poor effort, and got in Lance's face big time for it. Harris then knocked the ball out of Blake Young's hands (who was on offense), and threw the ball in the stands, cursing Bob Huggins out. Huggs then got in his face, telling him that he's had enough, and that he is off the team. Harris jabs Huggs, and then Huggs head butts him. Walker then comes in, yelling out something along the lines of (to Lance) "What tha &*$@!, get your &*$@!ing hands off of him, you ain't @#%$" and jacks him in the face. It gets broken up before it escalated from there, but Huggs had to be fought back from getting back at Harris. Obviously Harris is now off the team, and it remains to be seen what happens to Huggins. AD Weiser is unhappy with this, and is trying to keep this quiet while everything gets resolved.

Nice of you to disseminate unsubstantiated message board tripe.

I'm only surprised this wasn't a Cincinnati posting.

At least it wasn't a report about Zidane's headbutt.

They'll all go out for a few drinks later and everything will be fine.

Deeper_Background reports Ohio State coach Woody Hayes punched Clemson's Charlie Bauman in the fourth quarter of the Gator Bowl. More details to follow.

The real backstory is that the player was talking about going to class and this infuriated Huggy.

Maybe it took Bob Huggins to bring out the best in Kansas.

Kansas State's controversial and highly successful new coach certainly seemed to energize a raucous Allen Fieldhouse Wednesday night and pump new life into a long rivalry that had gone slightly stale.

In his first trip to Allen, Huggins was subjected to jeers and insults from 16,300 rambunctious fans, and the No. 9 Jayhawks unveiled one of their best games of the season in a 97-70 rout that halted the Wildcats' seven-game winning streak.

Huggins exchanged heated words with a fan as he entered the locker room after the game. But he insisted the crowd had no bearing on him or his team.

"I don't know. How could it?" he said. "I just don't buy into that."

Early in the second half as the lead zoomed past 20 points, fans began chanting, "DUI," a reference to Huggins' driving under the influence conviction in 2004 while coaching at Cincinnati. Before the game, Kansas State officials were furious about a two-page color layout in the student paper that depicted Huggins behind prison bars and was entitled "Hugs and Thugs." http://news.cincypost.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070208/SPT02/702080318

Might want to credit the source if you're going to quote that much. People who write for a living appreciate that sort of thing.
