Repetitive stress injuries and youth sports

    After 8-9 years of club soccer my son took the winter off before his senior year. We sure didn't dissuade him, and it appears he made it though competitive athletics with no surgeries, concussions or the like, unlike his pops and his uncle, who combined for four knee operations and an elbow clean-out.
