I just saw this for the first time -- have any of you seen "Rendezvous in Paris?"

It's a 9-minute film made in 1978 by a French director who mounted a camera on the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had what is believed to be a Formula 1 driver friend barrel through the barren dawn streets of Paris in one long take. Apparently the director was arrested after this was shown at a film festival, and the driver has never been ID'd. No wonder. Count all the red lights the driver blows and how many pedestrians he nearly hits.

Still, cool fuckin' shit. Play it LOUD on headphones if you can.

If he'd been drunk, it'd be a comedy?

Isn't that the sequel to "One Night in Paris"?

I still can't get past wanting to know what a rendezous is.

It's what you type right before you go to bed when you mean, "Rendezvous." Or as Rocky Balboa calls it, "Rend-ez-voss."

This cropped up on the board a few years back when the DVD was finally released; very very cool...the backstory was great, too, as the creator basically showed it to the public once and then took it underground for years because the French authorities threatened to arrest him.

Thanks for the new link -- very fun to watch.
