He only played in the league for 10 years and has coached in it for the past 20.

Dan Snyder's teams have usually been (somewhere) around .500, and they have, on occasion, made the playoffs.

Matt Millen's teams have never been in the same galactic quadrant as the playoffs. (Pay no attention to this year's fradulent apparent 'progress' -- the team still had no fucking chance in hell to make the playoffs, and would have been annihilated off the field by 50 points if it had).

As a footnote, Snyder's team flattened Millen's team like a steamroller running over a baby armadillo early in the season.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Baltimore Orioles are also getting in line behind the New York Knicks and the Redskins.

Saw this from Dan Daly on Thursday. It about sums it up perfectly if you ask me.

The Ted Steipen-era Cleveland Cavaliers would have to be in that discussion.

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays are wondering why they still can't win at losing.

A WS titles less than five years ago... operating basically the same way as they do now.

Not inept. Just not able to spend $218 million on payroll.

He's off base with that comment. Granted, 31-36 is nothing to write home about, but in the 11 seasons between Joe Gibbs eras, the team made the playoffs exactly once. They had a total of three winning seasons in those 11 years. In the four years of Gibbs 2.0, the team had two winning seasons and made the playoffs both years.

Gibbs had that team going in the right direction and arguably did the best coaching job of his career -- in either era -- in those last four games of the regular season after the Redskins buried their best defensive player. Considering all the other injuries they had and the fact they were a grief-stricken team, getting to the playoffs in 2007 was a minor miracle.

So the Redskins have gone ahead and hired "that Zorn guy" from the Seahawks. But they have no head coach yet. And rumor has it that Gregg Williams got in a yelling match with Dan Snyder during one of those 10-hour interviews. I know, I know, Al Davis doesn't know what the big deal is.

And Al Saunders is laughing all the way to the bank. I'm sure he's devastated to flee that circus.
