No, not the drink you bunch of booze hounds!

Red eye in photos, how do you go about 1) not having it in the first place and 2) eliminating it in Photoshop?

    Thanks people.

The next beverage-style Red Eye is on me.

  2. One tactic in Photoshop is to use the eyedropper to copy the girl's eye color, then use the pencil tool over the red, with a black spot in the middle. That's usually how I do it, since my version of Photoshop doesn't have the redeye reducer.

To avoid it in the first place, don't aim the flash right at the person's eyes. It's hard to avoid if you don't have a detachable, professional-style flash.

I know, unfortunately, I have old stuff and no money. And tonight, it just happened that two good shots ended up with red eye. First time in a long time.

PS - Thanks Ellis, we'll try it!

    If that doesn't work...
You can try the pen tool, clip out the entire iris.
This leaves total abyss where the eyes were.
Kind of creepy, but people will notice.

I misread the title as Brown Eye and thought this was another of Boots' threads.
