Red Cross fined

    WASHINGTON (AP) -- The government said Friday it was fining the American Red Cross $4.2 million for violating blood-safety laws.

    Some help, please, from the brethren north of the border...didn't the Canadian government strip the Red Cross of its blood responsibilities because of mismanagement of its infection screening process that caused thousands to get hepatitis?
