    I have two friends with these. I splurged and bought the 300, but all three of us use them to record audio (with a decent mike) for soundslide presentations.

    Great little recorder.
     
  2. Recording a phone call is always legal if both parties know about it.

    Can't imagine an interview subject objecting anyway. They want you to quote them right.

    Hey, join a mosque. Then, if you miss something on a call, just give Big Brother a ring and ask if they can fax you the transcripts.
