Fuck Ray Knight. What I really came here for is to say this thread and a few others talked me into buying and reading The Bad Guy Won. Interesting book. I had totally forgotten about the guy parachuting into Shea Stadium during the World Series.

 

Knight stays at home and everyone wins.

 

I'm so old that my baseball glove, still in use for catch all these years later, is a Ray Knight signature model. Quality product.

 

Mine's a Gene Tenace, which I've always hated since Little League because (a) it didn't have that badass hole for the index finger to poke out of and (b) my Mother's name was Gene and I hated that he spelt his like a girl's.

 

It's A Shame About Ray.

 

I had an Amos Otis Rawlings for years and it finally gave out, none of the gloves I have bought since have been anywhere near as durable.
