Ratings for the NFL in Canada

    It sounds like they are looking at some renos right now, but just the basics. Nothing too crazy, but things like fixing up bathrooms. Still have to figure out funding.

    I don't know the methodolgy of Canadian television ratings but if the ratings that were linked in the article are counting total Canadian households then the CFL ratings would be about a 5.5 to a 7.5 share if expressed in United States terms. Which are better than the national ratings of any sport in the United States woth the exception of the NFL. The CFL is beating MLB playoff games and the the NFL locally.

    And in the comments section of the linked article someone said that Quebec ratings are not included in the total because of language differences. If this is true then the CFL is getting a about a 7.0 to a 9.0, which is really good.

    It definitely does well in ratings. Year in and year out, The Grey Cup is almost always the most watched sporting event of the year, usually it's only challenge comes from the Winter Olympics when Canada is in the hockey gold medal game.
