    Passion for sports? Plenty. That's what the attendance figures show.

    Passion for spending hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars to build a stadium that will create very few jobs and with all the return on investment going to an owner? Pass.

    Not at all. As I've said before, I'm not debating whether it's right or wrong. But as long as the NFL is what it is, enough cities will dole out the dough. If LA fans had forced their government to come up with a new stadium for either the Raiders or the Rams, they'd still be there.

    In all fairness, I'd rather watch USC than either of those franchises, too.

    Forcing governments to come up with funding for new stadiums has very little to do with fans.
