Two nights a year. Sometimes three, depending when Christmas Eve falls during the week.

two pages of baseball second-half previews. one page of agate. one page of motorsports. one local/other page. we normally get four pages these days, and today we get six. the moron kings strike again.

I'm on vacation, but this is what we had:

Cover: All-Star folo, Mavs make deals official, Rangers and national MLB second-half previews, ZZ speaks.

Inside: NBA national free agency, Tour de France, Lynn Swann trailing in governor's race (I was NOT on the desk), Michelle Wie, Astros second half, some canned martial-arts package, and finally, NASCAR on the back cover.
