Just thought I'd mess with the embargo.

    Re: Angel Pagan! Yeah!

Since this thread is destined to die on the vine, I thought I'd mention Carlos Zambrano has been picked for the All-Star Game.

    Fuck you, embargo. Fuck you.

    Re: Carlos Zambrano: All-Star

He was 6-3 with a 2.95 ERA ... before today's 6-inning, 7-earned-runs performance. But he got the win and is 7-3 with an updated 3.54 ERA.

I'd like to think there's someone better out there.

Kinda weak that the NL's leading hitter -- Nomar -- can't make it.

Howard and Berkman are definitely deserving, but I might suggest three reserve first basemen rather than three reserve third basemen.

EDIT: Nomar's second to Freddy Sanchez after today. Still.

And another one I just noticed: San Diego's Chris Young has been about as unhittable as anyone this year.

Nomar can still be voted in as the fans' final player, or whatever it's called.

Why would Nomar get snubbed like that?

Because MLB doesn't want Mr. Sour Puss moping around its showcase game?

Re: More of the rambling All-Star thread

There was some scuttlebutt in the media today about the breaking of the embargo.

    I scoff at thee, embargo.
