    Not enough people do.

    Please share it widely.

Frank Broyles does not get enough adulation for all he did to improve race relations in America.

I know he was only there one year, so give credit where credit is due. Mizzou and the Oklahoma schools were the last three of the Big 8 to give scholarships to black players.

Disgraceful. Thank God for guys like Frank Broyles, who didn't have a racist bone in his body.

    Frank Broyles and integration

However, Broyles refused to recruit black students to play football at the University of Arkansas for many years.

Why would you disparage a groundbreaking legend like Frank Broyles in this way?

Wasn't there some sort of story where Broyles was asked why he brought on two black players, and he responded that the one guy needed a roommate?

And even that is not an indictment, if you consider the time and the place.

Interesting. What schools were last in the Southwest Conference?

It was a kind and generous act. Who else but Frank Broyles would have been so thoughtful to all involved?

Maybe they can put up a monument to him. Soon enough there'll be plenty of empty pedestals in the South.
