The first great Knicks point gaurd, later their coach and all-purpose scout supreme...53 years with the organization.
One of the nicest people I have ever met in pro sports and a man who knew almost every race track in America.

I'm surprised this didn't get more attention from this board. Dick McGuire was a great guy and a New York basketball institution.

When the times comes I hope someone says about me, what is said about him: He lived a great life.

If it didn't happen before September 1979, nothing in sports existed, right?
