    My old place (not in Canada) did the per cent thing. I hated it.

    It's a British thing, and is still recognized Canadian Press style, just like the "our" words like honour, colour and valour, "re" endings to words like centre and theatre, and "ce" endings to words like defence, offence and licence.

    After all the Americans did to save the British in World War 2, this is how they repay them? Jerks.

    I'll never forget picking up the Foo Fighters' "The Colour and the Shape" and thinking they screwed up the title. In fact, I still do. I'm going to give pictures of Dave Grohl the finger for the next half-hour.
