    well....the vote might matter. I'm sure Affeldt's agent is happy he can say his player received an MVP vote.

    He all but admitted that he couldn't make that case. He even called it a statement vote.

    More importantly, there is no case to be made. Affeldt and his 61 innings pitched over, say, Tim Lincecum? Hell, that's not even a lot of innings pitched for a set-up man.
